Wandavision is Incredible thus far!

I'm LOVING Wandavision! 

The irony is when they first announced this series, I was extremely skeptical. Up until this show, Wanda has showcased a little of what she's truly capable of. We saw it in Infinity War and Endgame, but we still haven't seen the total powerhouse she is.

This show however, has her power on FULL display. Creating her own reality for not only herself, but an entire town & no one can do a damn thing about it! Pretty evidence with all the fake wide grin smiles everyone has at all times.

Outside of Wanda's power level, what I also love about the show is the tone. It's dramatic and takes it self seriously. Yes there are jokes, but it's not the same humor we've seen in most of the MCU films since Guardians of the Galaxy. It's situational humor and most of which is to match the sitcom style they're going for (quite hilarious) instead quips or bathos. *No surprise that Kathryn Hahn owns this, being she's comedically-inclined. Gotta give Paul a nod too.*

"Drunk" vision should definitely return.

There's also this horror-esqe vibe about the show that I love. Knowing that this reality is fake, we see soft spots in their armor whether it's characters slipping in and out of themselves, or random things happening that are "off". Also, with this reality being created by Wanda, a level of anxiety is present because I'm constantly waiting for that moment when "S*** hits the fan," and when it does, we KNOW it's gonna be bad. Not to mention these moments of dead vision randomly popping up. The high stakes and danger are at every turn!

This was just creepy to me. It's always unsettling for someone to snap in and out of hypnosis not knowing what's going on.

What the hell is up with the beekeeper. Whoever this was creeped me out.

This was definitely unexpected.

I thought they were gonna go to war.

I also really appreciate them going all in with different editing/camera choices per sitcom era. The aspect ratio, color grading, film grain, fps all alter and it's even different when they go back to the normal world. That's s Nice touch. I found this image someone on reddit made that displays the era inspiration behind each 'sitcom'.

Ok so now is where I theorize and that means possible spoilers about the outcome and characters. You've been warned.....

I'm 95% sure that Dr. Strange is gonna show up at the end. Right now, he's the only Avenger that could match Wanda's skill and power with Magic. He's either going to notice something is off as Wanda's fake reality grows, or someone will reach out to him. The 3rd act is gonna be Wanda v Strange and it's going to end where Dr. Strange 2 begins. Just a theory.

 

Monica is 100% becoming Specturm. Darcy tells her, "Your genetic make up is changing," and that extra dimensional energy is powered straight from Wanda. If I had to guess, her genetic make up was probably altered by Carol in the past and that's what allows her to soak up the energy. I expect her to accidentally assist Strange in the big showdown.

As you can tell if you read this entire thing, I love this show and it has single handedly restored my hype for the MCU. I haven't liked anything Marvel has released after Inifnity War and it bummed me out. Here we are 3 years later with the fire relit! Check my review of the first 2 episodes below as well.
